Lil Scrappy (real name Darryl Kevin Richardson II) was born on January 19, 1984 in Atlanta, Georgia.
He was first discovered while performing at a school concert in his hometown. Lil Scrappy built his reputation throughout the South before his fame spread nationwide. He as well as Trillville, his former group, was one of the first artists to sign to BME Recordings and Warner Brothers Records.
Lil Scrappy is one of the best up and coming threats in hip hop. It is no surprise why 50 Cent and Lil Jon wanted to be a part of this project. Scrappy has raw talent that can not be duplicated.
After releasing a deal with Trillville entitled "The King of Crunk" he soon came out with the hot hit "Head Bussa" and then dropped the single "No Problem." It reached the top 30 of the Billboard 100 and was on the Top 10 of the rap charts along with Lil Wayne and Lil Boosie.
Lil Scrappy newest album "Bred 2 Die, Born 2 Live" is destined to be one of the tightest and crunkest albums to date. The album showcases some of the hottest entertainers such as 50 Cent, Eminem, Yung Joc, Three 6 Mafia, Young Buck, Kandi Girl and Yung Dro.
